Poshmark Sales Report

Poshmark Sales Report: Where to Get it From?

You can get your Poshmark sales report from Seller Tools in the Poshmark app or from Order Activity on the Poshmark website. Pick a date range, tap Email Report, and Poshmark emails you a link to a CSV file with every sale.

That is the short answer. But many Poshmark sellers still get stuck on where the button is, why the email never shows up, or what the columns mean.

This guide will walk you through all of it. You will learn what is Poshmark sales report, how to download it on any device, and how to use it for taxes and smarter reselling.

Why Your Poshmark Sales Report Matters?

Your Poshmark sales report is the official record of what you sold and what you earned. Without it, you are guessing about your own business.

Here is what the report helps you do:

  • Track real earnings. See your net earnings after Poshmark fees, not just the sale price.
  • Prepare for taxes. Poshmark says the report can be used for tax purposes.
  • Spot your best sellers. Find the brands and categories that sell fastest in your closet.
  • Plan your sourcing. Buy more of what sells and skip what sits.
  • Catch mistakes. Compare the report with your bank deposits and your own records.

What Is a Poshmark Sales Report?

A Poshmark sales report is a downloadable file that lists your sales within a date range you choose. Poshmark first launched it as My Sales Report in 2018.

The file comes as a CSV. CSV means “comma-separated values.” It is a simple table that opens in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers.

Each row is one sold listing. If a buyer bought a bundle, each item gets its own row, but they all share one Order ID.

One detail trips up a lot of sellers. The report lists orders marked received in your date range, not orders sold in that range.

So an item sold on December 30 but received on January 3 shows up in January. Keep this in mind when you pull year-end numbers.

Sales Report vs. Inventory Report vs. Closet Insights

Poshmark gives sellers three reports that sound alike. Each one answers a different question.

What It ShowsCan You Download It?
Sales ReportEvery sale in a date range, with earningsYes, as a CSV by email
Inventory ReportListings still for sale in your Poshmark closetYes, as a CSV by email
Closet InsightsCharts of sales, brands, categories, and order typesNo, view only

Use the Poshmark sales report for money and taxes. Use Closet Insights for a quick look at trends, and the inventory report to manage what is still listed.

How to Download Your Poshmark Sales Report on the Website?

The Poshmark website is the best place to get your sales report. Poshmark itself suggests downloading reports on the web so you can open them in Excel right away.

Follow these steps to download Poshmark sales report on your computer:

  1. Go to Poshmark.com and log in to your seller account.
  2. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  3. Click Order Activity.
  4. In the left-side menu, click Sales Report (older screens call it My Sales Report).
  5. Choose a date range. The report will not generate until you pick one.
  6. Click Email Report.
  7. Open the email Poshmark sends to the address on your account.
  8. Click the link and save the CSV file to your computer.

Stay logged in to Poshmark when you click the email link. The link only works while you are signed in to your account.

Tip: Pull one sales report per month and one for the full year. Monthly files are easier to check, and the yearly file is handy at tax time.

How to Get Your Poshmark Sales Report in the Poshmark App?

You can also request the sales report from the Poshmark app on your iPhone and Android mobile device in under a minute. The file will still arrive by email.

  1. Open the Poshmark app.
  2. Tap the Me tab (your profile picture, bottom-right). Older versions call this the Account tab.
  3. Tap Seller Tools (or My Seller Tools).
  4. Under Insights, tap Sales Report.
  5. Pick your date range.
  6. Tap Email Report.
  7. Open the email on a computer and download the CSV.

How to Read Your Poshmark Sales Report?

The Poshmark sales report has many columns, but a handful matter most. Here are the key ones Poshmark explains.

ColumnWhat It Tells You
Order IDThe order number. Items from one bundle share the same Order ID.
Bundle OrderY means the item sold in a bundle. N means it sold alone.
Offer OrderY means it sold through an offer. N means the buyer used Buy Now.
Order PriceThe final sale price of that listing.
Seller Shipping DiscountThe amount taken from your earnings for any shipping discount you offered.
Net EarningsWhat you actually received for that item, after fees and discounts.
Texas Seller Fee TaxTax taken from earnings for sellers who ship from Texas.

The Poshmark sales report also includes item details such as title, brand, and category. These help you see what sells best.

The Number That Matters Most: Net Earnings

Order Price is what the buyer paid for the item. Net Earnings is what lands in your Poshmark balance.

The gap is mostly Poshmark’s fee. Poshmark charges a flat $2.95 on sales under $15 and 20% on sales of $15 or more.

For example, a $40 sale costs you an $8 fee. If you offered no shipping discount, your net earnings are $32.

Easy Ways to Analyze the Data

You do not need fancy software. A few simple spreadsheet moves go a long way:

  • Sum the Net Earnings column to see your true income for the period.
  • Add a “Cost” column with what you paid for each item. Subtract it from Net Earnings to find profit.
  • Sort by brand or category to spot your top sellers.
  • Count Offer Orders to see how often buyers make offers instead of paying full price.
  • Total the Seller Shipping Discount column to see what your discounts really cost you.

These numbers are useful all year long. They become even more important when tax season comes around.

Using Your Poshmark Sales Report for Taxes

Your Poshmark sales report is your best tax record from Poshmark. Poshmark says you can use it for tax purposes, though it cannot give you personal tax advice.

Sales Report vs. Form 1099-K

A Form 1099-K is a tax form that payment platforms send to you and the IRS. It shows your gross sales, meaning the total buyers paid before Poshmark’s fees.

For tax year 2026, the federal rule says Poshmark sends a 1099-K only if you pass more than $20,000 in sales and more than 200 transactions. You must cross both lines.

Some states set much lower limits. Poshmark’s list includes $600 in places like Virginia, Maryland, and Massachusetts, so many casual sellers still get a form.

Poshmark posts 1099-K forms by January 31 of the next year. You must pass identity verification to receive one.

Why You Need Both Documents?

The 1099-K shows gross sales. Your sales report shows net earnings, discounts, and each order.

That difference matters. The 1099-K number includes Poshmark’s 20% fee, which you should not pay tax on if you run a reselling business.

Also remember: no 1099-K does not mean no tax. If you buy items to resell for a profit, that profit counts as income either way.

Simple Tax-Time Checklist

  • Download your Poshmark sales report for the full calendar year (January 1 to December 31).
  • Download a separate report for early January to catch late-received December sales.
  • Add your cost for each item you bought to resell.
  • Keep receipts for supplies, mileage, and sourcing trips.
  • Compare the report with your 1099-K, if you get one.
  • Share the files with your tax preparer.

Limits of the Poshmark Sales Report

The Poshmark sales report is useful, but it is not a full bookkeeping system. Knowing its limits helps you fill the gaps.

  • It is not real-time. Sales show up only after the buyer marks the order received.
  • It does not know your costs. You must add what you paid for each item to see true profit.
  • It covers only Poshmark. If you also sell on eBay or Mercari, you need to combine reports yourself.
  • Closet Insights cannot be exported. Its charts are view-only, so the CSV is your only raw data.
  • It arrives by email. You must request a new file every time you want fresh numbers.
